PROFESSIONALLY FRAMED AND DOUBLE MATTED (WITH CUSTOM NAME PLATE AND SUPER BOWL I AND II LAPELS) VINCE LOMBARDI SIGNED CHECK FROM HIS FIRST YEAR AS A COACH. THE CHECK WAS MADE OUT TO BILL AUSTIN. BILL WAS VINCES FIRST HIRE AS A HEAD COACH. For sale here as an outstanding check signed by coach and GM Vince Lombardi. The check is dated 7/15/59 and was signed during training vince's first training camp in titletown. He made his regular season coaching debut a few months later. His rookie year was a success as he led the Packers to their first winning season in over a decade and won the coach of the year. Whats even cooler is that the check is made out to and signed by bill austin. Bill was vince's protege. He coached him (later coached with him) in new york, and was his first hire with the packers. Austin worked for lombardi for 6 years as the principal architect of their running game, he was also instrumental in developing green bays "power sweep".
