Lee De Forest Inventor''Father of Radio'' Awarded 180 Patents Signed Check
Lee De Forest [1873 1961] was an American inventor who is referred to as the''Father of Radio'' who was a pioneer in the development of sound-on-film recording used for motion pictures. De Foest was awarded over 180 patents during his life time in the fields of telegraphy, telephony, television and radar. The check is drawn upon the Lake Shore National Bank and is dated Sept 1, 1948. The check is completed in his hand and is signed''Lee de Forest'' in blue fountain pen. The check measures 6.25 x 3.00 inches and is in fine condition with expected bank stamps.
