Thomas Alve Edison [1847 1931] was a American inventor and businessman who has been described as America's greatest inventor. Edison was a prolific inventor holding 1,093 US patents in his name and many of his inventtions had significant impact on every day life, such as the electric light, the light bulb, sound recording, motion pictures and the phonograph.
The document is a check issued by the Edison Botanic Research Corporation and is dated Jan 3, 1929, and is nicely signed''Thos A. Edison'' in black fountain pen. The check measures 9.00 x 3.00 inches, it has its correct punch cancelation marks which are not near the signature, trivial wear otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic and the document is a nice example of this prominent American inventor and is ideal for display.
